The 2021-22 FWCS School Choice Lottery is now accepting late applications.
Fort Wayne Community Schools assigns each student to a school based on their home address. Families may also choose to attend any other school within the District by being accepted through our School Choice Lottery process. To attend a school other than the one assigned, families must complete an on-line lottery application. If there are more applicants than space available for a school/grade level, a lottery will be held. Because of the pandemic, this year’s lottery was held virtually. Late Lottery applications will be accepted through June 1, 2021. If multiple applications are submitted for the same student, the previous applications will be voided. Students can only be placed on one School Choice Lottery waiting list.
If the school has space to accept any lottery applicants, the school will contact parents directly. Schools can contact families as early as March 1, 2021 and as late as the first day of school for the 2021-22 school year. (August 9, 2021)
